Bangkok's Mexican Gangsters

The Bangkok's Mexican Gangsters are Thai men who feel identified with Mexican gangsters style. Thai gangsters are common people in the morning and in the night they wear their gangaster look. In spite of Bangkok gangsters look like mexican gangsters, they do not apreciate brutal violence. Both groups have similar appearances, however they do not have the same behavior. This group is an example of cultural appropriation of another subculture, these thai men take some of the customs of one group because they feel represented by them and also they create characteristics by their own, like their own music with lyrics which ilustrated their social problems.

AfroColombians

Colombia is a country with several subcultures like Afro. An important part of Colombian people are black, in every single place of the country we can find an afrocolombian. However is sad that these group of people have one of the most high rate of poverty, unemployment, mortality and illiteracy. This is a problem that we can not ignore, on the contrary we need to be conscious, for in this way we will start to help. Otherwise afrocolombian also fight with social segregation, something that is not right because no matter our skin color, everybody deserve respect.

Introducing myself

Hi! My name is Valeria Blanco and I´m an Industrial Engineering student at Universidad del Norte. I like to watch soccer games but I don´t practice the sport, also I like to read, to travel and to listen music. Besides learning english I would like to learn italian. I also would like to go in a tour for Europe, I think that there are amazing places to visit there.
